English Training for Drone Pilots: PBI UNY Equips TNI Soldiers for Drone Training in Jordan

Yogyakarta — The English Language Education Study Program (PBI) of the Faculty of Language, Arts, and Culture at Yogyakarta State University (FBSB UNY) continues to support national strategic programs in the fields of defense and technology. In collaboration with PT Sapta Cakra Manunggal (SCM) and the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia (KEMHAN), PBI FBSB UNY organized an English Training for Drone Pilots program for Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) personnel.

Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris (PBI) FBSB UNY turut memperkokoh kerja sama universitas dengan berbagai pihak, baik instansi pemerintah maupun dunia usaha. Pada bulan Juni 2024, Prodi PBI bekerja sama dengan Dinas Pendidikan, Kepemudaan dan Olahraga Kabupaten Kebumen menyelenggarakan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) berupa workshop Pembelajaran Berdiferensiasi untuk Guru Bahasa Inggris Sekolah Menengah Pertama.

The English Education Study Program (PBI) of UNY is enhancing its collaboration with various stakeholders, including government agencies and businesses. In June 2024, PBI partnered with the Education, Youth, and Sports Office of Kebumen Regency to organize a community service program (PKM) that featured a workshop on Differentiated Learning for junior high school English teachers. This initiative included both online and offline components: pre- and post-workshop activities were conducted online, while the main workshop took place in Kebumen.

PBI UNY in Collaboration with DISDIKPORA Kebumen Successfully Held English Teaching Training for Elementary Teachers

Kebumen, July 13, 17, and 18, 2024 – In an effort to enhance English teaching skills for elementary school teachers, the Kebumen Education, Youth, and Sports Office (Disdikpora) partnered with UNY's English Education Program to host a collaborative workshop. The event welcomed 500 teachers from the Kebumen region, led by Dr. Lusi Nurhayati, M.App.Ling. Over three days, participants engaged in valuable learning experiences they could apply in their classrooms.
