After a series of outdoor activities for Fun English Club 2024, on Saturday, May 18th 2024, the final outdoor activities of the event, field trip and cooking class, were held. The event took place in Desa Wisata Pendidikan dan Ketahanan Pangan Dukuh, Pandowoharjo, Sleman, Yogyakarta. This activity ran from 8.00 AM to 2.00 PM WIB. The purpose of this event was to enhance social bonds among students and teachers, provide knowledge about directions and place names, stimulate the students’ curiosity, foster love for every living being, and offer memorable experiences.

The activities began with students and teachers gathering at the Pendopo Tedjakusuma FBSB UNY from 7:00 to 8:00 AM. The students then departed for the destination village using a tourist bus, accompanied by several classroom teachers. Other teachers followed on motorbikes, riding in a line behind the bus. Upon arriving at the village, students and teachers gathered at the village hall, where they received instructions from the guide about the day's activities.

The students were divided into two groups. The first group consisted of students from the Timmy and Shaun classes, while the second group included students from the Shirley and Jewel classes. The groups took turns with their activities, starting with the first group, along with the teachers and guide, visiting a dairy barn to feed the cows, milk them, and taste the fresh milk. Meanwhile, the second group participated in a cooking class, making yogurt from fresh milk that was fermented using specific beneficial bacteria provided at the village hall, with guidance from the teachers and the guide. They were also allowed to practice making and tasting their creations. After the first group returned to the hall to continue the yogurt-making class, the second group visited the dairy barn.

Once the second group returned to the hall, the students and teachers took a short break to enjoy snacks together. As the day progressed and the sun began to shine brightly, the heat of the afternoon did not dampen their spirits for the next activity: planting rice in the fields. The students proceeded to the designated rice fields, where the guide explained how to plant rice. They were given rice seedlings and practiced planting.

After that, they head to the next place, the fish pond. The path to the pond went through the rice fields, and the students appeared to enjoy walking amidst the fields, surrounded by green plants. There, they were tasked with feeding the fish in the pond. The fish food was provided by the guide, and the teachers remained with the kids.

In front of the fish pond, a clear stream flowed, sparkling in the sunlight. After getting muddy from the rice fields and feeding the fish, they cleaned off the mud in the stream while playing in the water with their friends. Their faces reflected the joy of encountering the fresh, clear water on a sunny day.

As noon approached, it was time to head back. The students returned to the hall to wash up and change clothes. While waiting for their turns to shower, they enjoyed the lunch that had been prepared. As the event came to a close, the students hurried onto the tourist bus for their journey back to Pendopo Tedjakusuma FBSB UNY. Upon arrival, they were greeted by their parents, who had been waiting to pick up their children.
